Cynthia started her real estate career in her early 20s after meeting her husband, Craig. A decorated Air Force fighter pilot, Craig flew 235 combat missions and received a Distinguished Flying Cross. Transitioning from a career as a commercial airline pilot, Craig joined Cynthia in real estate, where they focused on working with banks. Their dedication led them to sell over 6,000 homes, earning them a spot among the Wall Street Journal's Top 10 agents and recognition for the most units sold.
Their experience with bank-owned properties equipped Cynthia with systems to navigate the intricate sales process, from obtaining rehab bids to managing maintenance, lawn care, bill payment, and inspections. Craig's military values of duty, honor, and service deeply influenced their work ethic and lives on in the partnership of Kenner & Laven.
Following Craig's passing in 2018, Cynthia redirected her focus to probate real estate, forming the Kenner & Laven Team with Wendy Laven. Specializing in supporting executors, personal representatives, and attorneys, they provide expert guidance in this complex and emotionally challenging realm of real estate.
Wendy began her real estate career in 2017 after her kids were grown. Her aspiration was to meld her passion for interior design with her desire to assist others. Throughout her career, she has adeptly handled a diverse range of properties, from modest condos to lavish estates. For Wendy, the essence of success lies not in the size of the property, but in orchestrating seamless transactions that leave her clients thoroughly satisfied.
One facet of Wendy's expertise is her involvement in various renovation projects, where she guided clients through every stage, from property acquisition to design and construction oversight. This experience adds an additional dimension to our service to executors and personal representatives, as many homes in probate need repairs or minor updates to maximize returns to the estate. Wendy's discerning taste proves invaluable in these ventures.
Prior to real estate Wendy owned an assisted care facility where she and her team provided compassionate living arrangements and medical support for residents nearing the end of their journey. This firsthand experience gives her a deep understanding of the emotional toll experienced by families during such challenging times. Leveraging her extensive community connections, Wendy has fostered partnerships with several assisted care facilities, assisting numerous residents with their real estate needs.
In addition to her professional pursuits, Wendy is happily married to Paul, a physician specializing in elder care, for over three decades. Their shared commitment to serving the needs of others underscores Wendy's dedication to providing exceptional service in her real estate endeavors.
